This year’s virtual event spans three days from December 7 through December 9 and features over 25 sessions, open forums, and cluster discussions. More than 350 attendees are expected, according to Kyla Arneson, event manager.

Designed for frontline professionals and managers from settlement and integration agencies (from executive directors to outreach workers, case managers, career and employment counsellors and settlement practitioners), this year’s virtual conference provides an opportunity to build capacity, share new knowledge and expertise with peers while generating practice insights and strategies to better serve newcomers and help them succeed, said Sarosh Rizvi, Executive Director of AAISA.

This session explores themes around organisational restructuring during a pandemic, implementation of case management services within the larger settlement programming, and best practices and learnings in bridging case management and settlement services.
